Business ‘Intelligence’ You Must Read

Monday, May 16th, 2011

So, some quick bedtime reading. Just don’t expect to have pleasant dreams…

The first document illuminates perfectly the issues that are set to shape our profession in the coming decade. the second is AVMAs response.

Bayer-Brakke Veterinary Care Usage Study – If you haven’t worked out the issues yet then this summary is a must.

AVMA 20/20 Vision Commission Report – When an organisation as large and cumbersome as the AVMA is saying it then it is true. Just don’t imagine that you’re ahead of the curve.

Read them for sure, then have a dam good think about how you are going to respond. With any luck you’ve been reading and listening in to the market experts in the UK and US already. If not then this is your wake up call.

Over the coming months the Hamster Wheel will be focusing on how we might grapple with these issues. And we’ve met some interesting collaborators during the first six months of this year with visits to VPMA and BSAVA conferences in the UK and CVC East in the US.
